PureWick Female External Catheters: BD PureWick female external catheters are disposables for use with the BD PureWick Urine collection system allows a user to manage urinary incontinence within the comfort of their own home. Paired with the BD PureWick Urine collection system it may allow users to achieve better rest, reductions in skin complications and changing requirements. The BD Purewick external catheters are recommended to be changed every 8-12 hours unless soiled and for adult female use. PureWick Female External Catheters of Key Features:  Soft white material that wicks urine away – designed to minimise skin irritation. The collection chamber is at the base of the device. No direct suction to the patient, so no anatomy is put at risk. Patients feel comfortable keeping up their fluid intake as they can void as needed, without fear of leaks or device change. Ergonomically designed to align to the pubic bone. No adhesive or tape required; reduces cost whilst minimising dislodgement. It also allows greater movement for the patient.
