Cutimed Sorbion Border is a sterile, superabsorbent, gel-forming, self-adhesive wound dressing, offering atraumatic dressing changes. The dressing consists of a superabsorbent core with high retention capacity, a wound contact layer made from a hypoallergenic polypropylene, a silicone adhesive border and a breathable, waterproof backing from polyurethane which allows patients to shower. Self-adhesive atraumatic silicone border Outstanding absorption capacity Shower-proof Intended Purpose: Indications: Cutimed Sorbion Border is intended for the treatment of exuding wounds with moderate to excessive exudate levels suchas decubitus, ulcus cruris, diabetic foot ulcers and other wounds healing through secondary intention, oozing laparotomy wounds, fistulas to the skin, exulcerating carcinomas, postoperative wound dehiscence and similar exuding wounds. Wear time: Cutimed Sorbion Border should be changed as often as clinically indicated, must be not fully saturated. It can remain in place for heavily exuding wounds, up to 4 days. For wounds with moderate exudation, the dressing wearing time can be extended to 7 days.
