Suprasorb X is a wound dressing for non-infected wounds that regulates moisture levels in the wound. Depending on the wound status, the unique structure of the biosynthetic HydroBalance fibres causes either moisture to be donated to the wound or excess exudate to be absorbed. This reduces pain without the need for further medication and improves patient’s quality of life. The elastic and stable structure of Suprasorb X allows it to conform readily to any type or depth of wound, making it particularly suitable for awkward parts of the body. Suprasorb X simplifies wound treatment with its wide range of use and ensures a better cosmetic outcome (scarring). Excess exudate from the wound is absorbed in the dressing. Moisture is released from the dressing into the area of the wound with a low level of exudate. Fields of application: Can be used for all types of wound bed tissue (necrotic, sloughy, granulation, epithelium). For the treatment of non-infected superficial or deep wounds with low to moderate levels of exudate. Intended purpose HydroBalance bio-cellulose wound dressings/packing ropes promote wound healing by donating moisture to and absorbing exudate from lightly to moderately exuding superficial or deep wounds. Cooling effect: rapid, long-lasting pain reduction. Washing effect: moistens and removes dead epithelial cells. High wearing comfort due to the particularly soft, supple material structure. HydroBalance effect: Independent regulation of moisture (donation and absorption). The porous structure is similar to that of the skin’s extracellular matrix (skin scaffolding) and promotes the migration of fibroblasts.
