The use of drains requires rapid and appropriate wound care. With Metalline Drainage Pads and Tracheo Dressings, the characteristic features of Metalline, such as rapid drainage of exudate, come to the fore in these indications. Metalline reduces the risk of adhesion to the wound, thereby allowing atraumatic and pain-free dressing changes. Product composition: Viscose (stiffened with acrylate binder), the top layer of wound dressing is aluminized. Metalline Tracheo Dressing: sterile, individually sealed, in a cardboard dispenser. Intended purpose: Metalline Drain / Tracheo: The dressings for tubes and cannulas are coated with aluminum and used for absorbing exudate and reducing adhesion to wounds with inserted tubes or cannulas. Indications: Metalline Dressing pads. acute wounds, including for first aid and emergency care. Chemical burns. 1st degree burns. 2nd degree burns. Cuts and abrasions. Postoperative wounds. Properties: Good drainage. Smooth and soft. Gentle on the wound. Atraumatic dressing changes. Permeable to air/water vapor. Reduced risk of adhesion to the wound. Wear Time: Intervals between dressing changes must be determined by the clinician, based on the condition of the wound and level of exudate. Contraindications: Do not cut the dressing. Known sensitivity to aluminium. Do not use under radiation treatment (remove dressing). Key benefits: Action of the Metalline pores. Surface does not adhere to wounds. Absorption of exudate due to the capillary. Less painful dressing changes, as the smooth. Flexible and soft – gentle on the wound. Rapid. Product Structure: Wound side: Fine, non-woven material with vacuum aluminised fibres, resulting in a highly porous, non-adherent layer with a smooth surface, which helps to prevent adherence to wounds. Absorbent layer: High bulk, non-woven material that very rapidly absorbs and retains blood and exudate. Fluid is transported rapidly into the absorbent non-woven layer by the capillary action of the Metalline pores. This has almost no wetting effect on Metalline’s surface. The pores also ensure an unrestricted supply of air to the wound. Rear side: Needle-punched, non-woven material. Total dressing size: 8cm x 9cm Hole diameter: 12mm – 19mm Total thickness: 10mm.
