My family of 3 rented this kit for our first-ever camping trip, and it worked great for us. The tent was easy to put together, even for novices. The Exped air mattress was so comfortable, we couldn’t believe it. There was a bit of rain, but we didn’t even realize it until we got up the next morning because we were kept perfectly dry. Our only lesson learned is not to plan to put our 4-year-old in the same sleeping bag and bed as us. He may be small, but a double sleeping bad and a double air mattress just isn’t big enough for 3. A rookie mistake! So next time, we’d probably add on an extra sleeping bad and pad for him.
