This 3M Tegaderm I.V. Transparent Film Dressing is designed for I.V. applications with a notched and reinforced soft cloth border to minimise edge lift and catheter movement. * Laboratory testing has proven 3M Tegaderm and Tegaderm HP Transparent Dressings provide a viral (HIV-1 and HBV) barrier while dressings remain intact without leakage. The CDC/HICPAC Guidelines for the Prevention of Intravascular Catheter-Related Infections base dressing change recommendations on studies using Tegaderm Film. The notched design provides a better seal around the catheter site. The breathable film lets oxygen in and moisture vapour out. Transparent dressings allow easy monitoring of I.V. sites without the need to remove the dressing.
