Our shea butter is extracted and prepared without the use of chemicals. As this is a grade A shea butter and unrefined, the butter retains much of its natural properties. It is filtered once but as a raw butter it may have some impurities. Melt and filter using cheesecloth to remove any visible impurities. Appearance: Pure unrefined shea butter has a light brown/ivory color to it with a light, nutty aroma. Storage: Store in a cool temperature, away from light and moisture. This butter has a shelf life of 2 years if stored properly. Uses: Shea butter is known for its moisturizing properties. It’s typically used in soaps, lotions, lip balms and more. Recommended Usage: Balms (lip or hand) – 5% – 100% Hair Conditioner – 2% – 5% Lotions and Salves – 5% – 40% Soaps – 5% – 10% Packed in an air tight, resealable and reusable container.
