The end of the mouthpiece where the subject’s breath exits has a smaller opening, which creates a slight noise when the subject blows through the mouthpiece. Restricted mouthpieces can assist the operator to know that the subject is blowing an adequate volume of air.The restricted Alco-Sensor mouthpiece also fits the Intoxilyzer SD-2 and SD-5.
